First of all there are no other words other than fantastic. Avenging Heart by Desni Dantone was one of the best friends I have had the pleasure of reading. The whole Ignited Series was incredible and an emotional ride. Avenging Heart had so many emotions coming out as it was happy, laughing, sad, incredibly sad, and angry.Avenging Heart was the final story of the Ignited Series that was about how Kris, Nathan, Alec and their group were going to stop the demi gods in order to save everyone. Kris and Nathan struggle to find time to be alone because when dealing with demi gods they are training night and day. You can't forget Alec and all his humor who completely makes the story in my opinion. He is funny and he will do anything to protect Kris from everything. When you read this book you will not want to put it down at all. You see in the book that Kris is very strong and after main events that happen she proves that she can push thru emotion and kick some butt. Nathan at this point is just completely amazed by her.

Although I’m sad to say goodbye to such an exciting Greek-myth, paranormal YA series, Avenging Heart was a gorgeous finish, which left me more satisfied than most series-concluding books I’ve read. Certainly one of my favorites, and I highly recommend.
This book jumps right in where Salvaged Soul (book 3) left off, with the battle-hardened, somewhat mis-matched group of young kala hybrids and their demi-goddess leader as they begin their journey across the world to uncover and prevent Circe's (Kris' half-sister) dangerous human-threatening curse to save Callie. Along the way they take on the powerful demi-gods, who strive to kill Kris and Alec. With such threatening tasks and numerous enemies, there is no shortage of action and heart-clutching fight scenes in this book. Powers, diamond-coated blades, guns, drugs, fists… everything is a weapon when you’re fighting for your life and the lives of your friends, family and the human population, even against the gods.
And when you’re not sure who will survive another day, feelings are strong and abundant—fear, protection, courage, devastation, vengeance, horror, triumph, heart-break, hopelessness, and love—taking me on an incredible roller coaster, such that I can honestly say my emotions were a scattered mess by the time I finished. There is humor and romance, but I will warn that I sobbed into my pillow for ages at one particularly shocking moment. A well-crafted adventure that kept me turning pages and biting my nails, rooting for Kris, Nathan, Alec and their team, family and friends through every surprise obstacle or plot-twisting set-back ‘til the perfect end.
Good Greek gods my head and heart were terribly distressed. This book is one of the best series finales I've ever read. All the action and mystery you've come to love in the Ignited series plus a good dose of heart break and espionage for balance. Read them all now, but be prepared for an emotional roller coaster that will leave you with a gigantic book hangover.
This is the greatest ending to a wonderful series! This entire book had me on an emotional rollercoaster the entire time. Certain parts of this book had me super depressed, but the ending made up for it! Everything about this book kept me wanting to know more and more. Kris and Nathan are perfect for each other and in the end Kris did what she needed to do to end it all! I was very pleased with this book... Including the emotional rollercoaster I was sent on!!
I laughed; I shed tears; I wondered if Kris would survive this whole ordeal. What a heart rending read. It’s an adventure worth taking. If you haven’t read the entire Ignited Series, do it now. There won’t be any room for disappointment. Desni Dantone lights the fuse in the first book, Ignited and the fireworks fill the sky in this conclusion. A recommended series for YA Paranormal Romance readers.
I really enjoyed all 4 books of this series. I've always loved Greek mythology and was fascinated with how the author intertwined her story and characters with those of the Greek gods and goddesses. It had a great ending, but sad it's over. Maybe she will develop new story lines for another book series with the gods and goddesses. I can only hope! I read all 4 books in less than a week. Just couldn't put them down.
I did not see that coming, but it was a perfect ending to a great series.
To be honest I am somewhere between let down and relieved at how the demigods were taken care of, but that doesn't mean I didn't spend my time reading the book on the edge of my seat. The intensity builds through out leading to a breath taking journey through the underworld and then it just got more intense. It is a bit excruciating at times because it is so unpredictable and you never know what is waiting around the corner.
Definitely earned every bit of the 5 stars
Avenging Heart is the perfect ending to this wonderful series and I was never disappointed. I enjoyed this world of Greek mythology from the first page of book one to the final page of this book. It is written in the dual point of view from Kris and Nathan which I love and touches on every emotion possible. I laughed, cried, loved, hated, was leveled and then soared.
I am sad to see the story of Kris and Nathan, Callie and Alec, Jared, Bruce, and Gram end, however Desni Dantoni told it perfectly. She covered everything and everyone; no detail left missing from it so I was left a happy reader. I wouldn't mind revisiting Kris, Nathan, and Alec one day down the road. The love these three will always share through their experiences could lead into some future, fun adventures.
